In a healthy relationship, you are comfortable being your authentic self, and the other person doesn’t try to change, shape, or mould you into something you’re not.

In November, I visited Culford School, a co-educational independent day and boarding school located close to Bury St Edmunds, to deliver a seminar on ‘What is a healthy relationship, and what to do if you feel you are in an unhealthy relationship?’

It was such an enjoyable, interactive workshop, with pupils reflective on not only current and future romantic relationships but their relationships with friends and family.

Prior to this session, I had the pleasure of sitting down with senior school pupils Evie, Ellena and Elizabeth in Culford’s podcast studio for a fantastic discussion on what is being done in society to tackle domestic abuse, why victims struggle to speak out, and why perpetrators commit abuse in the first place.

It was such a fun but rewarding experience being interviewed by these amazing students. It’s great to see Culford School is such a fantastic forward-thinking school. This generation is the key to change long-term.
